my new ps3

just ordered my new ps3.
£299 with free bioshock n free delivery from play.com
Should arrive Monday and then I can fire up that gameshare account and get downloading!
Just hope my old one gets £300+ on eBay when it finishes tomorrow!

Got £295 for the old PS3 will make another £10 on the postage so got enough to pay for my new one!

may i ask why you sold a ps3 to buy a new one?

It was a two year old US ps3. I don't play ps2 games anymore so thought I'd cash it in and get a shiny new one!

Aaargh! Just got an email from Play.com they say that the PS3 is packed and being dispatched but that delivery will take 3-5 days!! Be about a week with no PS3! Might have to dig a Dreamcast out of the cupboard to tide me over!

Once I was choked that I didnt get the 80gb with BC, but now I am glad I didnt, when I look at ps2 games the graphics are so bad I wouldnt play them. Plus the 80gb would be full and I would have to toss it for a 320 anyways. Kevin - I think you made the right choice!

Wait, if you had a US ps3, did that mean you have to get all the DLC from the US store? example cod4 map pack

DLC is locked to the game software and not the machine. I found this out the hard way as I had a US copy of CoD4 and bought the map pack from the UK store and it wouldn't work! I phones Sody and they gave me a refund.

Arrived this morning while I was at work!

Setting it up now. Going to have to get a new HDD as the 80GB one says I can only use 64GB of it!

Also, Bioshock comes in a shiny cardboard sleeve and looks really nice!

Once I'm set up going into the gameshare account and downloading WipEout HD!

No, I'm not that silly. I held off until today as I didn't want the hassle of using one of the activations and then having to de-activate the account. Too much like hard work!

Sorry for asking but you never know , most people and myself before get confused that it is number of activations not downloads that count. Have fun with the new ps3!
