Trophy Thread

How is everyone doing with trophies?

I have about 160 now. Got two platinum but they are for BuzzTV and Burnout so not exactly hard ones! I'm working through Uncharted now to get the few I'm missing from there.
Does anyone go for them like a trophy hound?

i like the idea of trophies as it makes me try different play modes and stuff as well as replaying games I might not otherwise but I wouldn't consider myself a trophy hound.

karbine is definatly a "trophy hound" although i have a different name for it
ive got a few i think. but if i dont like a game I wouldnt even bother looking at the trophies.

I was in to trophies for about a week when they first came out and I finally bought SSHD, I still think they are cool, I just have gotten too addicted to cod4 to care about much else.

I am a small trophy "whore" but I am nowhere near as good as you for getting platinums. Although the sound of an unlock does feel very rewarding.

I finally bought SSHD and then the next day they reduced the price and brought out a bundle! I've been in touch with Sony for a refund and am hopeful!

I had thqat game on a previous psn account and i forgot the password so i made another psn account and deleted the profile with sshd on, and lost it

I like shmups pretty much so liked SSHD.

As for trophies, I finally got the last few I needed for Uncharted except for the Hard and Crushing ones. I;m planning a Crushing run through but have heard it really does crush your will to live!

yeah, i tried it abit ago on crushing. it is really reallyu hard

I just found out I have to do Hard first before can even try crushing! Am on chapter 5 and it is already getting a bit hard for me! If I finish this I don't know if I'll be able to do crushing.

I also was in to uncharted for a bit, the thing that stops me from trophy whoring, and not to ruin this for anyone, is I know I can get super addicted and excited for them and spend huge amounts of my valuable time getting them, but then once I get them I am like who cares and never think about it again. Just me though...

Anyways, here is to Uncharted 2, I cant wait!

They are making uncharted 2, I dont know when but I think it will come out sometime in the next two years. I read that there were some hints of it in HOME. They would be crazy not to.

I. Think uncharted2 will be out next year. I didn't get the first one until recently when I picked up a copy cheaply but I've enjoyed it so much I reckon I'll buy the next one on day1

i didnt buy uncharted that long ago, but i didnt get my ps3 that long ago aswell. I got my ps3 shortly after mgs4 came out because i really really wanted to play that game.

heresy I know but I've still not got mgs4 yet! The wife said she saw it in gamestation today for £25 new so I think she is getting it me for Xmas

My brother in law still has my copy of MGS4!! I just want it back to add to my MASSIVE collection of .... 4 games LOL

lol, i personally think it should win game of the year this year, its proberly the best game ive played on the current gen platforms, single player anyway.

here's the latest news on the Uncharted Platinum Trophy saga:

I transferred my gamesave of my Crushing difficulty run via USB stick to my new ps3, finished the game but didn't get the trophy. I figured must be a problem with the gamesave so did the game on Crushing difficulty again only to still get no trophy! Aaaargh!!

Turns out that if you have anything to do with a transferred gamesave file, even your own!, then trophies won't activate! I had to delete my gamesave file and the gamedata file and start over. I finished Hard today (which felt easy coming straight after two Crushing runs!) and have just started a new Crushing run. Had to stop to come to work but will finish it and put it to bed tomorrow!

Wow! That is dedication, you most kick serious ass at the game now! I only finished on normal and that was hard enough!

I wouldn't normally be so hardcore about a game but the fact I should already have my platinum trophy is bugging me so I have to get it now! I want to hurry up and start and finish Bioshock before new CoD arrives as if it's anything like the last 3 it will take over my life!

Im struggling to get alot of trophies on far cry2. Alot of them require to play online and I never be bothered unless the online is actually amazing. Perhaps if I have some friends round tey can help me with them. Bring on CoD: WAW. I really cant wait. its like 16 days for us though
