I think it will sell steadily for the month and then a shedload of people will get it for xmas and the servers will melt!

Honsetly karbine, if you are good at css, then you should find it easy to pick up any fps easily.

Well I beat the last level on Veteran last night for the Platinum trophy. Going to sell it now. Got loads of games to keep busy with but fancy another shooter too so might pick up FarCry2 or Resistance2 to keep the reactions keen until Killzone2 arrives!

Kev, I was thinking that you are lvl 10 on cod4, but you are going to sell cod5, there not really that different are they? I finally got some good guns and knowing the maps better so I think I will go to lvl 65 for sure now.

I'm nearly 41 now and starting to get the jive of playing again.
Kept getting around 650 score on S&D tonight + match bonus.

Yeah I got Prestige 10 on CoD4 after a fair bit of fighting! I think CoD5 is good but it just hasn't grabbed me like CoD4 did. It's not the WWII thing as I quite like that it just doesn't have the X factor! I've also got loads of games on the go now so I can't be bothered with it now I've got the Platinum trophy.

yeah, i know what you mean. I dont think its half as addictive as cod4 was. hopefully call of duty: modern warefare 2 will be as good.

A lot of people were guessing that the next one will be a sci-fi one but I reckon come Nov09 we'll be seeing MW2 as it is such a money maker they'd be crazy to go for a new setting this time round. Maybe in 2010.

I have nearly had it with CoD5. So laggy compared to computer (pc) gaming. Been loving counter strike source again lately and team fortress 2 due to the actuall shoot and it kills them dead where you aim targetting anot the laggy mess that cod is. Sad

Do you guys connect ps3 with wifi or Ethernet? I use wifi and am thinking of hooking up an Ethernet lead to see if that improves the online at all.

I have not had any lag issues, but I am wired in and have fairly quick internet, so I dunno.

I was surprised last night that not many people were playing, in hq there was 700 (most nights it is close to 2000), s&d had 300, it seems low to mean anyways, although I have no idea how many people played cod4, but it would have been interesting to know.

When cod4 came out it had no competition at all and is still masively popular, there a several people on my friends list I've seen go back to it recently. Also, R2 seems to be being played a lot. As well as those two there are a lot of other quality games out now that are taking players from cod5 now that the initial hype has faded.

i used to be on wireless, and connected by ethernet to see if is help speed it up, and it did for me, definatly.

I agree, cod4 had perfect timing, the multiplayer was new and done well, plus there was very little competition.

Seeing that cod5 really did not bring anything new to the table I am interested to see what infinity ward does with cod6, it is a tough call, do you just make small improvements and keep it mainly the same or do you innovate?

KZ2 might be the next juggarnaut, pretty sure I will get this.

I'm really looking forward to KZ2. I'm not going to get it at launch, I'm going to wait a month for the inevitable patches to fix the online so as to avoid disappointment. I know if I get it and try to just play single player illend up online and pissed off so I'm going to wait.

I have seen KILLZone 2 online videos and I don't want to sound like an arse but it doesn't look too great. Fo0r graphics and physics it looks amazing. But it all seems too Bad company style online, where everything is.. how do i describe it? Erm like un-responsive? Bah It's hard to describe
